Windows 11 to ditch 40-year-old 'Blue Screen of Death

উইন্ডোজ অপারেটিং সিস্টেমে চলা কম্পিউটার বা ল্যাপটপ চালুর সময় কোনো কারিগরি ত্রুটি দেখা দিলে মনিটরের পর্দায় ভেসে উঠে নীল রঙের ‘ব্লু স্ক্রিন অব ডেথ’ (বিএসওডি) পর্দা। পর্দায় থাকা কোডের মাধ্যমে উইন্ডোজ জানিয়ে দেয় কোন কোন সমস্যার কারণে কম্পিউটার চালু হচ্ছে না। চার দশক আগে চালু হওয়া পরিচিত এই নীল পর্দা আর দেখা যাবে না উইন্ডোজ ১১ অপারেটিং সিস্টেমে চলা কম্পিউটার ও ল্যাপটপে। তার বদলে দেখা যাবে কালো রঙের নতুন নকশার পর্দা।

মাইক্রোসফটের তথ্যমতে, শুধু ব্লু স্ক্রিন অব ডেথ পর্দার রং পরিবর্তনই নয়, উইন্ডোজের ত্রুটি ব্যবস্থাপনায় ‘কুইক মেশিন রিকভারি’ সুবিধাও যুক্ত করা হবে। এর ফলে অপারেটিং সিস্টেম চালু হতে ব্যর্থ হলে উইন্ডোজের ‘রিকভারি এনভায়রনমেন্ট’–এর মাধ্যমে ত্রুটি সমাধানের চেষ্টা করবে সুবিধাটি।

When a technical error occurs while starting a computer or laptop running the Windows operating system, a blue 'Blue Screen of Death' (BSOD) screen appears on the monitor screen. Windows uses the code on the screen to inform you of the problem that the computer is not starting due to some problem. This familiar blue screen, which was introduced four decades ago, will no longer be seen on computers and laptops running the Windows 11 operating system. Instead, a new black screen design will be seen.

According to Microsoft, not only will the color of the Blue Screen of Death screen change, but the 'Quick Machine Recovery' feature will also be added to Windows' error management. As a result, if the operating system fails to start, the feature will try to resolve the error through Windows' 'Recovery Environment'.
